The new genus.se – launched today!
Are you curious about new gender research? Are you looking for funding for your research? Do you want to know which government agencies and universities who are working with gender mainstreaming? If so, the new genus.se will be of great benefit to you.
After having spent almost 20 years in the field of gender research, the Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research has taken on several new assignments, and the new website gives impetus to our digital communication.
– The new genus.se will showcase ongoing activity in our areas of expertise; gender research and gender equality in Sweden. We hope that everybody, students who want to understand what a gender perspective is, as well as decision-makers who want to get an overview of the gender research field conditions, will find what they seek, says Josefine Alvunger, communications strategist at the Secretariat. Josefine has led the work on the new site together with Elin Engström, communications officer.
On the new site, you will find …
- … overviews of gender research- and study environments in Sweden, research networks, scientific journals and funding agencies, and more.
- … Vacancies and funding for those who wish to apply for funding for their research or are seeking a gender profiled job
- … a packed calendar, where everything from lectures to conferences both in Sweden and abroad is presented
- … and much more!
Genus.se launched for the first time 1999 and has since gone through two larger rebuilds, last time was in 2009.
